The last day of the Golden Key Asia Pacific conferencewas the absolute BEST day ever. Li Cunxin, the guy from Mao's last dancer came to speak to us and his story was so very moving. He has been through so much to get to where he is now, he really deserves everything that he's achieved. There was also an epic amount of workshops we attended, especially Sacha's (we used to call him Alex) workshop. I can't believe how successful he is now. Starting his own company and writing a book and everything. It's awesome telling people that I went to high school with him. Girraween 07 represent!

Later that night was the Golden Key Mad Hatter themed cruise. I can't believe how stressed I was getting ready. Because by the time I got home it was already 5.30, and I needed to leave the house by 6.15...which means I got ready in 45mins! HOLY CRAP. I seriously rushed the hair, make-up and shaving my legs LOL. I ended up getting to the wharf at exactly 7, bloody hell. Rush job to the max. Then JLee called me up and he was like bloody 20mins away and I was so scared for him that the boat was gonna leave, but he made it on time, so it was ok haha.

MY BEAUTIFUL GOLDEN KEY CREW

Everyone looked so done up and some people went fully hard out when it came to dressing up. Literally Alice in Wonderland on a boat! (:

My mum said JLee & I looked exactly how we did at our year 12 formal BAHAHA! Food was pretty decent too.

I only just realised that night that that was the first time I've ever been on a dinner cruise...I've never felt soo seasick in my life. It was almost the same as eating on a plane, only turbulence was wibbly wobbly instead of bumpy lol. Hmph. All in all, it was a memorable night. I had fun dancing & drinking & flirting with the bartenders trying to get them to give us free drinks (and succeeded! LOL).

Ladies :)

I can't wait til the Golden Key International Summit this coming July in Arizona! It's gonna be SO bloody awesome and the line up of speakers for the event sounds so pro & epic. I really need to start saving up for it though. OMGSH ITS GONNA BE SO MUCH FUN!

Golden Key Asia Pacific Conference
Friday, January 29, 2010 1/29/2010 9:09:01 pm

I'm soooo tired but I wanna blog about today because I thought today was so awesome. Today was day two of the Golden Key Asia Pacific conference at UTS. I was supposed to get there at 8.30 for late registration but I ended up getting there at 9.05. How fail. Lucky Jamesly found me and took me to the uni hall because I was seriously just a lostie.

All the talks were really good, esp Bob Carr's speech. I now feel motivated to find myself a job and sell myself to all those potential employers out there lol. The workshops were heaps good too. I was the moderator for one of them in the first session and the guy was a heaps mad speaker, I honestly feel so inspired and motivated now, no joke.

It's kind of made me think about my career choice and what I'm going to be doing with my degrees. Speaking of which, I finish my arts degree this year, woohoo. But after graduating from it I still have to go back to uni and finish off my law degree. Damn. I can't believe JLee finishes his degree this year. That's so pro. Same with all the business people and everyone else who does a three year course. I almost envy them because they get a taste of the "real world", post uni, having earnt their degrees. It's not the same working whilst studying your current degree. I figured once you graduate and you have your degree it's gonna be stacks hard finding a job, because you're competing with 2000 graduates who probably want the same job as you. Whereas it's not so much a big a deal if you don't get a degree-related job whilst your still studying at uni. Because that's just the thing - you're still at uni, and you tell yourself you've still got time to get that job.

We also had an Amazing Race around the city today. SO MUCH BLOODY FUN! we started at UTS, found our way to Chinatown, Powerhouse Museum, Pyrmont Bridge & finally the Maritime Museum. I really like their team building & networking excersises like that. I swear it was so much fun!!

Today was such a real eye opener. I like what I'm getting so far, and I'm glad I'm getting what my money's worth.

After the conference I met up with Beh and he took me to dinner. I love the chillout sessions that I have with him. I feel like by talking to him (or all my close friends for that matter) I can actually realise that I have a brain, and not just a heart. Because as much as my heart does all the navigating around, my brain  will always be the one driving.

It's been such a long week and I've been so tired lately. Working two jobs is seriously working me out hard. I don't know how I'm going to cope when uni starts again. Oh and speaking of uni I'm a little bit screwed when it comes to my timetable. I don't know what units I should be registering in and crap. Stupid psychology restructured my course so I heard I'm gonna have to redo units that I've already done, it's just that they have different names or some shit? Meh I don't know.

Anyways on Tuesday it was Aussie Day and I took the liberty of inviting my LG homies over for a bbq/poolpartay, fuck oath :)

GROUPIE IN MY SPA! but omgsh Jamesly got cut out!!! :S

Everyone rocked up at around 2ish. The boys got the bbq started & the girls helped with putting the kebab sticks together. Bloody hell I love this family of mine.

L: Boys on the barbiee                                     R: boys' backyard cricket

I had SO much fun with my girlies!!! The last time we were all together was the tea party at my house....bloody aaages ago, far out. I loved our bubble meetings, our bitching & ranting & laughing randomly & keeping ourselves entertained for hours until our hands & feet turned pruney LOL THAT'S LOVE <3333333

When it got dark, if weren't chilling in my hot-hot spa, we were inside the tent (pergola?) that my dad gave the boys to set up in my backyard. And we played a crazy round of mafia & grapples, while eating my mum's casava. OH! And the boys randomly started bbq'ing again at 10pm lol.

Our awesome tent

grapples/mafia/casava/fruit!!

People starting leaving around 10.30ish, and soon it was just me, Jesse, Jamesly, Beh & Gimo left and we talked til 1 about anything & everything :) Far out I love my peoples. I really, really needed a day like this where I could just recoup and get my head straight about everything. I honestly don't know what I would've done without hectic-as-shit friends.

Oh and just a sneak peek at my pool at night:

Photos taken from my 13/09/2008 entry... pool still looking good ;)

I'm so seriously gonna have another pool party these holidays before uni starts. Maybe this time with just my girls, and also one with my hammertime crew. Speaking of which, SEMI'S NEXT WEEK!! Omgsh the INTENSITY! We lost last week 5-3 to a team that we beat twice. They must've trained heaps hard because we seriously thrashed them when we versed them before. I guess that's what we get for being over confident & underestimating our opponents. Also, at my uni job it's been so busy on the phones. Everyone's trying to enrol & whatnot, it's seriously complete hecticity. OH AND Golden Key Asia Pacific Conference this week! I'm so excited. I already had to miss out on day one because of stupid work, but I'm gonna be there tomorrow & Saturday and it's gonna be MAD fun.

Far out this past week has been by far the busiest and longest week ever. Last Wednesday I worked my first triple shift. By that I mean I worked all three jobs in one day. I can't wait til I get paid for my uni job. I only just handed in my tax form & my timesheets today and I found out that I won't get paid til Feb 7...noooo! But that's ok. I've got time, and it'll be one sweet day when my moolah lands in my bank account.

Anyways, on Saturday it was Maria's (& Kylie's) bday at Verandah/Mantra Hotel. Wish I could've stayed longer babe!

I swear I had so much to blog about and now that I'm blogging I can't think of what I was going to blog about...boo. My sister got her uni offer about half an hour ago: Pharmacy at USyd. So proud of that woman. I know how hard she worked, she so deserves it! Another thing, I'm officially back to living in my house. No more going to and from North Ryde. No doubt living there was the bomb, so close to the city and everything, but it was such a pain cos I kept leaving all the important stuff at the wrong house. Far out my parents are so spontaneous and erratic.

P.S. My 4»  x x x x

My gosh it's so hot. My sister only recently got a job in North Ryde so it's getting hard keeping track of which house I'm sleeping at and whatnot. I keep leaving all my important stuff at the wrong house far out. I so can't wait til uni starts. Working doesn't really tickle my fancy anymore. I guess I only like working for the money (lol typical). I haven't gotten paid yet from my uni job, but I found out that I get paid for my training shifts too, once I give my banking details. $27p/h, hell yeah.

On Saturday it was Nin's 21st at The Lions Den @ World Square Pub. It was such an awesome night hanging out with my Hammertime crew & all of their school friends. I never realised that we live in such a small world. The next day we were supposed to have training but it got cancelled because everyone was hungover LOL. Yesterday we had our first footy match after our three week Christmas break. We won 12-6, without training. I think with the way we're going, if we win the next two games and Buckies lose a game (or something) we've made it to the semi's. I swear we are seriously the shit.

Anyways, here are photos from Saturday. The rest are all up on my facebook. OH speaking of facebook, there's these two tb girls in yr 7 that keep msging me on facebook and calling me "babe" and acting like we're close and shit, when I only know them by face. They're such tryhards. Far out I hate TB's. SMFH. Oh right, photos..

HAMMERTIME

Hey guys! Hope you all had an awesome Christmas & New Year. Since this year started I've been so busy with my new job, and starting next week I'll be working three jobs WOOT. I know I'll probably end up burning out by the time uni starts but MEH I don't give a crap, I'm gonna work as I please because I've spent so much since Christmas. But anyways, besides work I've been spending an awful lot of time with my footy team. We drove down to Woollongong for a day and spent a lovely day bbq'ing at the park and chilling on the beach. I LOVE YOU HAMMERTIME

We brought so much food! When we first statred bbq'ing we didn't finish everything, but then after getting off the beach we managed to eat everything. We're so pro. After that we drove down to the light house and we bummed for a few hours before carpooling back to Sydney. Such a good day with my Hammertimians!

More photos on my facebook (:

Oh and my luvo for the day.. even though it was a candid shot of me.. teehee
